Mariensteiner HL 5

Mariensteiner HL 5 is a hydraulically hardening building lime of strength class HL 5 according to DIN EN 459-1-HL 5. Mariensteiner HL 5 consists of high-quality fine rock powder, white lime hydrate and hydraulic binder. The bulk density is approx. 0.9 kg/dm³.

Storage

Hydraulic building limes are sensitive to moisture and should therefore be stored dry and protected from moisture.

Properties

The binder properties of the hydraulic building lime Mariensteiner HL 5 have been specifically tailored to the production of plaster mortar in accordance with DIN EN 998-1 and masonry mortar in accordance with DIN EN 998-. Particular emphasis was placed on the good processing properties of the fresh mortar made with Mariensteiner HL 5. Plaster and masonry mortars that only contain Mariensteiner HL 5 as a binding agent achieve a strength level that is optimal for most applications and not too high. If higher strength requirements are required, cement can be added to the Mariensteiner HL 5 fresh mortar. Softer plaster mortars are made by adding hydrated lime. Mariensteiner HL 5 and gypsum or anhydrite binder must not be used together as binding agents.
