To connect joist hangers to wood or wood-based materials, anchor nails (comb nails) Ø 4.0 mm must be used.
The maximum load on the joist hanger is only achieved with full nailing. Partial nailing with reduced load is also permitted.
The defined load is valid for the installation state shown (see graphic!). The requirements for edge and intermediate distances must be observed in accordance with the applicable standard and installation must therefore be carried out in accordance with the approval!
Areas of application:
The external joist hangers are used to connect secondary beams to main beams or to supports. This involves both the connection of wooden components to one another and the connection of wooden components to components made of concrete or steel. This is often done using so-called screw/nail combinations.
