RESIFLEX® SK is a self-adhesive, bitumen-compatible expansion strip based on the synthetic rubber EPDM and contains a glass mesh insert in the outer edge areas. Within the expansion zone, RESIFLEX® SK is unreinforced. The underside is provided with a self-adhesive, polymer-modified bitumen layer, which is protected by a removable release film.

RESIFLEX® SK can be permanently bonded to all RESITRIX® sealing sheets. Connection to other material types is only possible after consultation with our technical department.

RESIFLEX® SK complies with DIN 4102, Sheet 1 (building material class B2) and class E according to DIN EN 13501-1.

RESIFLEX® SK is CE-certified according to DIN EN 13956 and DIN EN 13967.

RESIFLEX® SK is preferably applied on top of the surface sealing to be laid beforehand, with the surface sealing being interrupted above the joint. RESIFLEX® SK is to be applied as a self-adhesive layer after the entire surface has been primed with FG 35 and the appropriate drying time. RESIFLEX® SK is to be welded onto the edges of the expansion strip using hot air in a width of at least 40 mm. The reinforcement-free expansion zone is arranged above the joint and remains unglued. If necessary as a result of the construction process, RESIFLEX® SK can be laid in exceptional cases before the surface sealing is installed. In this case, self-adhesive after priming with the surface primer FG 35 without welding the strip edges is sufficient.
