Robust installation drill bit for panelling. The drill bit and shank end are screwed together to minimise the risk of breakage and optimise smooth operation. The tapered groove and the offset between the drill bit and shank ends prevent jamming even in damp wood, while there is sufficient strength to cut through nails in the wood. Drill bit with extra-long shank for versatile drilling in multi-layered building materials or sandwich materials, e.g. for the building trade (boarding) and interior installations, plumbing work, heating and electrical installations. For cladding, panels, boards, beams, plasterboard, lightweight building materials, insulation and metal, e.g. metal plates, layered materials with steel, aluminium or shaped sheet metal. The installation drill bit is made of HSS (high-speed steel) in accordance with DIN 7490. It has a drill bit with a taper ground point of 118 degrees.
