The fischer FMD metal expansion plug is particularly suitable for securely fixing gas and water pipes, cable and pipe clips in concrete, aerated concrete and solid and perforated building materials as well as in solid plasterboard. The special plug is set in the pre-insertion installation, driven directly into aerated concrete with a hammer without pre-drilling. When the screw is screwed in, the plug expands and the metal teeth anchor the plug securely in the building material. The ribbed internal geometry of the FMD enables secure screw guidance. The use of wood and chipboard screws increases flexibility. The outer toothing expands in the building material and thus ensures a high load-bearing capacity.
