Knauf GKFI fire protection boards are used in all areas of interior construction as economical panelling in dry construction systems with fire protection requirements in moderately damp rooms. Moderate damp rooms are rooms in which there is a permanent relative humidity of = 70 % during the day (e.g. domestic bathrooms). In addition, DIN EN 1995-1-1 NA permits the use in timber panel construction as exterior wall panelling in the area of service class 2 (e.g. as a substrate for a thermal insulation composite system).
