Fire protection boards are used in all areas of interior construction as economical panelling in dry construction systems with requirements for fire protection and/or sound insulation in moderately damp rooms. Moderate damp rooms are rooms in which there is a permanent relative humidity of = 70 % during the day (e.g. domestic bathrooms). In addition, DIN EN 1995-1-1 NA permits the use in timber panel construction as exterior wall panelling in the area of service class 2 (e.g. as a substrate for a thermal insulation composite system).
Suitable for the following systems:
- Ceiling panelling and suspended ceilings
- Attic panelling
- Metal stud walls
- Timber stud walls
- Timber panelled walls
- Shaft walls
- Impregnated for reduced water absorption
- Good structural cohesion under the influence of fire
- Simple processing
- Non-combustible
- Bendable
- Foldable with V-milling
- Low swelling and shrinkage when climatic conditions change
