The SRF 125 crack control joint profile consists of a fully coated metal water stop on both sides with uncoated retaining rails attached on both sides. The predetermined crack caused by weakening of the concrete cross-section due to the retaining rails on both sides is securely and permanently sealed against pressing and non-pressing water by the coated metal sheet.

Application

When installed in concrete crack control joints, the special coating forms a bond with the fresh concrete and thus seals the joints permanently. The uncoated retaining rails weaken the concrete cross-section at this point and create the predetermined crack at the intended location. The crack is centred on the coated metal water stop, where it is securely and permanently sealed against pressing or non-pressing water by the coated metal water stop.
