Installation instructions:
Anchor nails (comb nails) Ø 4.0 mm in accordance with EN 14592 must be used to fasten the angle connector with web. In order to achieve optimum utilisation of the angles (are symmetrical around the bending line) and anchor nails (comb nails) in the connections that are subject to lifting forces, the angle connectors must be attached as shown in the illustration.
At the purlin / angle connector connection, the lower nail holes are not nailed out and at the beam / angle connector connection, nailing should be carried out as close as possible to the bending line. The number and length of the anchor nails (comb nails) must be selected according to the loads occurring in each case.
For structural reasons, two angle connectors must be used, depending on the area of application.
Installation must be carried out in accordance with the approval!
Areas of application:
The angle connector with web is primarily used in structural timber construction and is particularly suitable for connections that have to transfer large forces. It enables the simple connection of head hinges to purlins and standards, to concrete or to steel.
Possible applications:
Securing the position, absorbing uplifting forces due to wind suction, securing rafters on pitched roofs against tilting, connecting studs to sleepers, wall ledgers to supports, etc.
