Installation instructions:
The structural analysis documents usually define how many stiffeners are required in the roof plane. If the documents do not contain any information, the wind panicle strip must be attached crosswise.
It must be ensured that the panicle strip lying on the rafters is connected to the cross beams (purlins and ridge) both at the top and bottom in order to be able to optimally transfer the forces absorbed.
Furthermore, the panicle strip must always be laid tightly. To do this, the panicle strip is attached to the ridge, then laid up to the sill and finally tensioned.
When using panicle strips, the requirements of the timber construction standard regarding edge and end distances must be observed.
Areas of application:
Wind panic strips can be used in a variety of ways for building constructions. They are mainly used for diagonal bracing (wind bracing) of roof trusses, ceilings and walls.
